Event description

Description

Come along to this eight week session activity with your child and make Vernie the Robot, Frankie the Cat or one of the other 5 featured robots in this kit. For ages 7 plus.

Families are asked to bring 6 AAA batteries to help with the cost of powering the robots. There is no other cost involved.

Start off learning how to use the motor and hub and then Build Code Play with Lego Boost.

For kids that love lego and robotics. This is a parent/child activity suitable for one child and one parent. As there are extremely little bits and instructions to follow together it is not suitable for younger siblings.

You will each be allocated a kit for the eight weeks so you can work through the modules and build your robot together. The kits will be kept at the library in between sessions.

We have eight kits so you must be enrolled to come along.
The instructions are accessed via the app, which we will have loaded on to iPads for you to work through.

Lots of fun and learning together.

Please note the final session is for deconstructing the robots and packing them away. Each kit has prescribed pieces so it is important that families are careful with the pieces and they can easily be found by each group.
