Awesome robotics fun!
Extend your knowledge of programming with more challenges using our new Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots. This course is presented as a series of challenges to encourage children to develop more advanced programming skills and be creative in their pursuits.
If your child does own a EV3 robot and is familiar with the programming platform they are most welcome to join!
Please be aware that these robots use different software to the Lego Mindstorms NXT robots, so please enrol in Lego Robotics 1 before you attend Lego Robotics 2 if you have not used this type of Lego robot.
Ages: 8-14 years.
This program is presented by Fizzics Education as part of the Centennial Parklands holiday program of activities.Pair this with the morning Lego Robotics 1 program for a full day of robotics fun! Please bring food, a drink and a hat with you on the day!

Frequently Asked Questions
I've attended Lego Robotics before, which workshop should I enrol in?
It's worth enrolling in this course as it acts as a refresher. The new EV3 programming software is very different to that used with the older NXT robots. Please attend the new Lego Robotics 1 program before enrolling in Lego Robotics 2.
Where is the program being held?
The Education Centre is located in Centennial Parklands towards the end of Dickens Drive.
Centennial park is based on one way streets and you are best approaching Dickens Drive from the Lang Road entrance of the park on the north western side. Continue along Dickens drive past Loch Avenue and the centre will be on your left just before the bridge. Please refer to the map above.
Park your car on the street and walk 150m from the road and you'll find us there in the centre!
My child is 4/5/6/7 years old, can they attend with their older sibling?
No unfortunately. The minimum age of this program is set to ensure that children attending have the mathematical and problem solving skills to successfully program the robots and keep up with the pace of the program. Younger children tend to fall behind and can end up frustrated which can have an impact on the rest of the class.
Where can I find any updated information?
Fizzics will provide a full refund only if the event is rescheduled or cancelled. We cannot refund tickets, but name changes on tickets are acceptable. Fizzics reserves the right to review all requests for refunds on a discretionary basis.
