Who can participate in LEGO: Battle of the Shires?

Anyone! The event is open to all ages. We welcome families, kids, teens, and adults. Everyone can contribute to their shire’s glory.

Question 3

Do I need to register in advance?

Accepted Answer

While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend registering in advance at Charleville Library to help us organize groups and materials more efficiently.

Is there a cost to join?

Nope! The event is completely free, thanks to the support of Anglicare and Charleville Library and the many supporters we have in our commubnity!

How are the build groups structured?

Accepted Answer

There will be separate kids and adult groups. Depending on turnout, multiple groups may be formed per age category.

Question 6

Do I need to bring my own LEGO?

Accepted Answer

No. LEGO bricks will be provided thanks to the generosity of the Murweh Shire, The Lions club, Anglicare and the many members of the community that dropped off donations!

How long do we have to work on our builds?

Accepted Answer

Each team will work on their builds across multiple fortnightly sessions. Projects are ongoing and can evolve over time.

Can we work on our designs between sessions?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Brainstorming and planning between sessions is encouraged. You can even collaborate with teammates outside the event hours. We are hoping to hold extra build sessions during the school holidays for those who can attend!

It’s all in good fun! The friendly rivalry adds excitement—so bring your A-game and show Maranoa who’s boss!
