About YouTube for Kidz

Kids love YouTube and many think about becoming a 'YouTuber!' So instead of having your child trying to figure out how to become a successful YouTuber by searching content online (which might not be age appropriate), send them to a YouTube for Kidz camp.

At a YouTube for Kidz camp, kids were learn create a video using video capture & edit software, add sound/music and even add some voice over! We will also cover safety online, how to block content and talk about ways to increase subscribers and views.

By the days end they will have a video they can share with friends and family together with the skills to continue to create YouTube videos for their YouTube Channel.

All computers and technology supplied on the day! Kids should bring a USB to save their work.

What is YouTube Basics?

YouTube Basics is the first step for kids wishing to learn more about being a Youtuber. Things they will learn are:

  1. Create a Channel
  2. How to be Found (i.e more views,more subscribers) We will cover topics such as tags, thumbnails, building an audience and video content
  3. Creating Channel Art and Profile
  4. Creating the first video
  5. Upload the video
  6. How to keep your viewers watching
  7. Creating a Fan Community
