Learn to sew your own clothes!
Over 12 hours of lessons you will build on sewing skills already learnt in the Learn to Sew Beginners course or Intro to Sewing Workshop or similar ability.
In this course you will complete a simple pair of Pyjama bottoms and a simple A-line Skirt and if time a cute little sleeveless top. It's a great course if you want to continue learning new skills and gain more confidence reading sewing patterns. You will also work on measuring and fitting skills and get an introduction to the overlocker.
Skill level required
This course is designed for the beginner. Ideally, you have completed the 3 week Learn to Sew course or Introduction to Sewing Workshop and feel confident with sewing simple crafty projects.

All sewing machines are provided however please feel free to bring your own machine if you prefer.
2.5 meters of Flannelette or Cotton Fabric for Long PJ's. (Spotlight, Lincraft or Darn Cheap Fabrics are the best places to shop for these types of fabric).
1 meter of 2.5cm waist elastic
Thread to match fabric
Fabrics and notions for A-Line skirt will be discussed in first class.
Provided.
Patterns, A printed PDF copy of the Annie A-line Skirt pattern and PJ Pattern.
Coffee and Tea.
Sewing machines and tools
Lessons are run in my cool little studio in Elsternwick, right near the train station.
The maximum number of students is five so each student will get personalised instructions and plenty of time to practise on the sewing machines supplied.
