Learn to Podcast: Editing audio files
Wed. 14 December 2016, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm AEDT
An interactive course in audio editing with Ian Woolf, independent producer of the weekly radio show and podcast Diffusion Science Radio. In this one-hour session, you will learn the basics of editing interviews into crisp and smooth soundbytes, ready to post online. If you've ever wanted to become a podcaster but didn't know how - this is where you want to be.
Workshop will be followed by private ASC member only Christmas party drinks at WeWork.
Important info: Please bring with you an audio device (e.g. smartphone with voice recorder), laptop computer, and cable to transfer files from your audio device to your laptop computer. Please make sure that these devices are fully charged prior to the event (though we will have some plug-in facilities).
Please also download the latest version of the audio editing software Audacity on your computers before the session: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ The more devices the better - but don't let the lack of equipment prevent you from joining the session.
