Learn to be a pro with sewing machine – Beginner Sewing course Level 1
Studio Thimbles Level 1 Course (STL1) is like a White Belt in Martial Arts – in order to earn your Black Belt, you need to start with basics! STL1 is a sewing course for absolute beginners to help you start your sewing journey in fastest and easiest way. Avoid sewing frustration and disappointment, learn in a small group of like minded people with peer to peer support and an expert guidance. Every step of the way you will be guided by me - craft lover Olga. I once was also a beginner about 25 years ago, so, I know how you feel. I will take you on the journey from setting up your sewing machine to 1st handmade ready to wear garment, which you would be so proud of!
Sewing course is 5 lessons, 2 hours each.
As we learn we will complete the following projects:
Cushion cover (envelope type)
Tote bag or boxy pouch
Apron
Skirt with pockets
As we gain knowledge and confidence, we finish this STL1 with 1st garment for yourself. It will be skirt with in-seam pockets. This will prepare us to STL2 where I will continue to help you becoming a pro with sewing machine and we start working with garment patterns and making top and pant/shorts for our self. If you love my Martial Arts reference, the STL2 it will be like grading from your White belt straight to Green Belt!
I will be taking only 3 person per group, so you could learn in a small intimate space with personal attention to everyone. Group dates are the following:
