Event Details

In this second 'Uncomfortable ideas for the Public Service' lunchtime speaker event of Innovation Month 2014, two senior guest speakers will discuss the topic ‘Leadership or Leadersunk: are new models of leadership needed for innovation in the public service?’

What is it to be a leader in the public service? Are different types of leadership possible and how can they support innovation? Is it an uncomfortable idea to have and to recognise leadership from different levels of the public service?

Grant Tidswell, Deputy Secretary at the Department of Human Services, and Patricia Kelly, Director General of IP Australia, will share their experiences as recognised leaders within the Australian Public Service. When it comes to innovation in the public service do we have the necessary leadership or are we leadersunk?

This event is kindly supported by NICTA's eGov Cluster.

(Please note that this event will start at 12:00pm promptly, so it would be appreciated if attendees can arrive earlier so as to be seated in time.)
