Lead Mama Lead Networking Night - Overcoming Impostor Syndrome
Fri. 21 October 2016, 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm AEDT
Lead Mama Lead's inaugural networking event for working mamas who want to be inspired to achieve their leadership potential whilst still being engaged and present with their children.
Join us for dessert, coffee or a glass of wine, and a facilitated discussion on the theme Overcoming with Imposter Syndrome
What is Imposter Syndrome?
Imposter syndrome is a common belief that hampers the potential of women (and men). It is that niggling doubt that you are going to be exposed as a fraud when you have stepped up to leadership in work or in your community. It is also responsible for many people not embracing new opportunities for fear that they are unqualified or unworthy. In the case of working mothers, this common self-belief can be compounded by the messaging we recieve from society which undermines how we view our potential at work.
Join us once your little ones are tucked up in bed, or bring along your small baby or child if you need. This is an inclusive event that is welcoming of all mamas and their caring needs.
Ticket price includes facilitated discussion, and pre- and post- event learning materials to give you a range of strategies to apply to your own leadership journey. Dessert, coffee, wine, or even a late dinner can be purchased from the cafe on the night.
20% of the ticket price will also be donated to the YWCA Computer Clubhouse project to overcome digital poverty for disadvantaged young people in the Canberra community.
Connect with a community of women who are travelling this path with you, and can encourage you on your journey to balance family life and a meaningful career in the way that you determine for yourself. We hope to see you there.
