30 tháng 4 năm nay đánh dấu 46 năm miền Nam Việt Nam mất vào tay Cộng sản, cũng là 46 năm Người Việt Tỵ Nạn phải bỏ nước ra đi. Mặc dù đang được sống tự do trên quê hương mới, Cộng Đồng Người Việt khắp nơi trên thế giới tiếp tục đấu tranh cho tự do, nhân quyền trên quê hương Việt Nam.

We observe 46 years since the fall of Saigon on 30th April 1975. A tragic war of great suffering and loss of Australians and Vietnamese lives, during and after the war.

Millions of Vietnamese were forced to flee from their homeland in search of freedom and democracy. The plight of our people drives us to rededicate ourselves to the principles of individual freedom, human rights and soverignty that are still infringed upon to this day in Vietnam.

Black April also marks a period of hope and endless gratitude for countries such as Australia who allowed so many to call this beautiful land "home" and embark on new opportunities.
