Session 1: What we do and how we can help you

Monday, 14 May 2018 - 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Have you got a complaint about IBAC, Victorian Ombudsman, OVIC, VAGO, Chief Examiner or their officers?

The VI receives and investigates certain complaints made to it about these bodies. It also oversees the use of coercive powers (such as powers to summons and examine witnesses) by various bodies and ensures legislative compliance by agencies that exercise covert powers.

Come along to learn about the key oversight body in the Victoria’s integrity system, what we do and how we can help you.

Session 2: Ensuring procedural fairness

Wednesday, 16 May 2018 - 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Did the Victorian Ombudsman or OVIC deal with your complaint appropriately?

The VI can receive complaints about Victorian Ombudsman and OVIC officers’ compliance with procedural fairness requirements in the performance of their functions.

Come along to learn what is procedural fairness in this context and how the VI can help you.
