Description

National Homelessness Week will be officially launched on Monday 7 August 2017 in Sydney at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre from 9-12:30pm.

The launch will feature an address from Senator the Hon Doug Cameron, Shadow Minister for Housing and Homelessness and Dr Catherine Robinson, Co-host and series consultant on SBS TV’s ‘Filthy Rich and Homeless’.

As part of this event, Homelessness NSW, Yfoundations and DV NSW will also officially launch 3 new guidelines to support the delivery of services to people at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness:

  • Assertive outreach good practice guidelines for services supporting people currently rough sleeping

  • Good Practice Guidelines for the Domestic and Family Violence Sector in NSW

  • Good Practice Guidelines for working with Unaccompanied Children 12 – 15 years accessing Specialist Homelessness Services

From 11:00am-12:30pm attendees at the launch can choose to attend one of three workshops corresponding with the above guidelines (please select the workshop you wish to attend in the ticket section below).
