Tamworth Regional Gallery will be running an innovative new program 2018 in partnership with visual art specialists from NSW Department of Education, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander curators and Educators from Art Gallery of New South Wales, and local Aboriginal artists. Join us for the launch of this program based on the AGNSW education resource Home: Aboriginal art from New South Wales.

The afternoon’s program will include:

From 4.30pm - Meet and greet with free drinks and canapés

5.00pm - Informal talk with Master Craftsman Tom Barker introducing his Goondees and art practice, and how his works can address mandatory curriculum content in your schools

5.30pm - Overview of new education program by DoE art specialists, opportunity to express your interest in registering for his program for 2018

Followed by - an exhibition tour of OPEN HOUSE: 3rd Tamworth Textile Triennial with Gallery’s Education Team and learn about ways that you can tick off art appreciating outcomes
