The NYSF Year 12 Program, runs over three sessions in January each year for around 600 students who are about to enter year 12. It is designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in STEM and to encourage continued studies in these fields. One of the best-known STEM experiences in Australia, it has run since 1984 and helped over 12,000 alumni realise life-long STEM literacy.
The NYSF 2020 Year 12 Program Launch celebrates and raises awareness of the program’s 37-year history amongst an audience that will include NYSF Alumni, Rotarians, Educators, Parliamentarians and key representatives from the STEM sector. Speakers at the launch include Chair of the NYSF Board, Mr Andrew Metcalfe AO and Professor Tanya Monro FAA FTSE FOSA FAIP GAICD, Chief Defence Scientist of Australia, NYSF Science Patron and Alumna.
The NYSF is supported by funding from the Commonwealth Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda (NISA), our Major Partner Lockheed Martin Australia, our two host University Partners, The Australian National University (ANU) and The University of Queensland (UQ) and several other corporate and university partners listed on our website.
