Event description

Description

This launch event will establish a community of practice concerned with:

  • Mental health and recovery for survivors of modern slavery;
  • Supporting transition for survivors of modern slavery;
  • Facilitating positive therapeutic encounters with frontline staff.

The Post-Slavery Mental Health Managed Innovation Network arises from the acknowledgement that mental health and modern slavery are both complex issues requiring inter-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder, and multi-agency responses. We would like to highlight that we warmly welcome the participation of survivors at this event and their involvement in the Network more broadly. The Network includes the widest possible range of stakeholders both from the UK and internationally. The Network will include people with lived experience; clinicians; third sector organisations; independent/private sector representatives; relevant statutory services such as police and NHS representatives; and academics working in the areas of mental health and modern slavery.

This is an invitation only event.
