Event description

Domestic and international interest in the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel source is growing rapidly.

In August CSIRO released a National Hydrogen Roadmap that considers how Australia can make the most of this burgeoning opportunity.

The Latrobe Valley is uniquely placed to capitalise on this, being home to a world class brown coal resource located in close proximity to carbon storage sites offshore in Bass Strait.

You’re invited to learn more about this at a series of business networking events being delivered by Latrobe City Council and the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR).

Representatives from CSIRO, DEDJTR and the Japanese consortium led Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) Pilot Project will explore the national hydrogen opportunity, Victoria’s competitive advantage when it comes to hydrogen production and how these come together to create a supportive environment for projects such as the HESC Pilot Project.
