Description

Celebrate Sherlock Holmes Day with writer Narrelle Harris' entertaining and insightful talk on all things Sherlock.

Narrelle talks about the enduring popularity of the great detective Sherlock Holmes and his biographer, Dr John Watson. She also explores the elements of a quintessential Holmes story within the context of modern interpretations: whether he's depicted as a Victorian gentleman, a 21st Century detective, a cartoon mouse, a Japanese woman, or in a loving relationship with his best friend, John Watson.

Narrelle M Harris writes crime, horror, fantasy and romance. Her 30+ works include vampire novels, erotic spy adventures, het and queer romance, and Holmes/Watson romance mysteries. In 2017, her ghost/crime story Jane won the ‘Body in the Library’ prize at the Scarlet Stiletto Awards. Her most recent works include A Dream to Build a Kiss On (2018) and Grounded (March 2019). Releases due later in 2019 are Scar Tissue and Other Stories and Kitty and Cadaver. www.narrellemharris.com.

The Latrobe Literary Festival is supported by Reader's Emporium, Franklin St, Traralgon.
