Late Night Library: KX The Strip
Penny Greenhalgh and Maxine Kauter present a unique and immersive show that digs the dirt on some of the most extraordinary true stories from Kings Cross. Using song and storytelling to introduce you to some of the Cross’ most enduring true stories, based on the 100 plaques embedded in the pavements of Darlinghurst Road by the City of Sydney in 2005. From the grog traders, Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh, to its famous poets, from green bans to Carlotta, pay homage to some of Kings Cross’ social history. What’s more, when the show is over, the show is not over! You will receive a walking tour map of the plaques so you can strip back the strip any time at all.
