Clive Neeson’s film 'Last Paradise’ has packed out over 60 cinemas through out Australia since it was launched in Perth by the celebrated WA author and environmental campaigner Tim Winton.
‘Last Paradise’ now returns to the Perth big screen for your enjoyment and inspiration. Part proceeds will go to Surfaid International, a humanitarian NGO that improves the lives and wellbeing in isolated regions of Indonesia. This screening includes short live Q&A with filmmaker Clive Neeson.
LAST PARADISE is the story of how extreme adventure travel emerged from the antics of a few surfers and their eternal quest for adrenalin and paradise. Filmed over a lifetime with the original pioneers, the footage was restored by Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings team who described it as “the most extraordinary footage we have ever seen.” Its a life-changing inspiration for any age and and shows why West Australia is truely the LAST PARADISE.
In the remote wilderness, when necessity was the mother of invention, a maverick bunch of kids began experimenting with something that would change the world of adventure travel. In 45 years of stunning original footage we experience first-hand the innovators of extreme sports and join them on the roads less travelled in the 60's and 70's to discover just how the world used to be and the science of restoring it.
Filmmaker: physicist and surfer Clive Neeson
