Description

KSP Press Club

The Holiday Hub for Tomorrow’s Media Moguls

Coming Up: Two-day session in the July school holidays, special Spooky Edition for junior cadets 8 - 13 years

KSP's Press Club adventure will have young writers - our cadets - unleashing their creative minds and writing up a storm. The idea of the program is to show the different avenues available to make a career out of writing and the arts, and to have fun while learning to work in a team.

In the July special session, cadets will learn the art of the spooky story and how to write to a theme. The facilitator will help cadets to edit and submit their stories into KSP's 2018 Ghost Story competition. Special guest author and ghost story judge Carolyn Wren will also pop in for an interview and can offer insightful tips on how to write an award-winning story.

All cadets pick up an exclusive KSP Press Club Media Pass on entry to kick off the program.

Then, cadets are guided through the process of how to write and develop a piece for submission to a competition, as well as for publication on KSP's blog and end-of-year print anthology.

Another feature of the program is learning interview techniques and putting them into practice by leading a press conference with a special guest author which may be filmed and uploaded to YouTube.

The program includes writing games and activities, as well as lunch, and morning and afternoon tea.

The program is limited to 20 participants so get in quick to ensure you don’t miss out.
