Description

KSP Press Club

A Holiday Hub for Creative Cadets

This full day adventure will have young writers - our cadets - unleashing their creative minds and writing up a storm. The idea of the program is to show the different avenues available to make a career out of writing and the arts, and to have fun while learning to work in a team.

All cadets pick up an exclusive KSP Press Club Media Pass on entry to kick off the program.

Then, cadets will pick a favourite topic – Poetry? History? Cartoon? Current events? Photojournalism? Feature fiction? – and are guided through the process of how to write and develop a short story and/or article, as well as for publication on KSP's blog and end-of-year print anthology.

Another feature of the program is learning interview techniques and putting them into practice by leading a press conference with a special guest author which may be filmed and uploaded to YouTube.

The day includes lunch plus morning and afternoon tea.

The program is limited to 15 participants so get in quick to ensure you don’t miss out.

Parking is available in the brick driveway and in front of the hedge, also on the upper gravel level (to the right of the house) and along the street. Overflow parking can be found down the gravel driveway to the immediate left of the house (look for the No Thoroughfare sign); please drive down here slowly.

What should I bring to the event?
Bring an exercise book and pen or pencil, hat, and water bottle if desired. Please bring a laptop if you have one. Ensure you apply sunscreen on the day before arriving and all personal items are labelled.
