Full day Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum training for educators of children age 3 to year 2.

This course is equivalent to the general course but has a stronger focus on the early years (age 3 - year 2).

Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC)

The KS:CPC is a comprehensive child safety and respectful relationships curriculum for children and young people age 3 to year 12.

In South Australia, the KS:CPC is mandated in all Department for Education and Catholic Education sites and is used in independent schools.

Educators that deliver the KS:CPC to children and young people must complete the full day Educator course.

Restricted access

The KS:CPC training is only available to educators from the following approved organisations:

  • Department for Education
  • Catholic Education South Australia
  • Association of Independent Schools of South Australia
  • Pre-service teachers enrolled at Flinders University, University of Adelaide, University of South Australia or Tabor College
  • Community Children’s Centres South Australia
  • Gawler Riverside Early Learning Centre
  • Goodstart Early Learning Centres South Australia
  • Green Leaves Early Learning Centres South Australia
  • Lutheran Education SNW (South Australia only)
  • Ranges Early Learning Centre & Infant Toddler Centre
  • Wendy’s Early Learning Centres South Australia

Payment information

Payment via credit/debit card or PayPal is required upon registration.

Cost includes:

  • course handbook
  • tea, coffee, water, morning tea and lunch.

COVID-Safe requirements

Under the Emergency Management Act Direction, persons who engage in work or perform duties at any location where the Department for Education carries out any business or undertaking, must be vaccinated or have a medical exemption. More information.

On entry to the Education Support Hub, you will need to:

  • Check-in using the QR code or sign-in sheet
  • Provide proof of your vaccination by showing your COVID-19 digital certificate or paper immunisation certificate or medical exemption.
