Description

A workshop for Early Childhood workers and Junior Primary teachers. Interstate presenter Hilary Price- Keegan will take you on a journey through songs and musical activities to develop learning for babies, toddler, pre-schoolers and foundation years. Using a Kodály sequential, spiral curriculum you will see the songs growing with the children and learn how to use and choose appropriate material for each developmental stage in the Early Years.

About our presenter:

Hilary Price-Keegan currently teaches students from Pre-Kindy to Senior School classes as well as numerous choirs at Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Perth, where Music every day for Pre-Kindy to Year 2 students takes place. She studied Music education at Trinity College Dublin in association with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and attained her post grad from the Liszt Academy at the Kodály Institute of Music, in Hungary in 2009.She has completed her First Steps in Music FAME Certificate with John Feierabend, and is currently undertaking both Primary and Secondary AKC certificates. She thoroughly enjoys presenting at professional development courses for teachers and tertiary students, and has run many open classroom sessions for educators in WA. Hilary is committed to promoting and developing a positive and dynamic learning environment through inclusive, active music making and participation for all.
