Description

Know your Rights! - Tenancy and You

Yarra Libraries and Fitzroy Legal Service present Know Your Rights, a series of regular legal information sessions on different issues for community members.

In this practical information session, legal experts from Fitzroy Legal Service will explore the rights and responsibilities that tenants have in Victoria and will include:

- Beginning a tenancy: lease agreements and conditions reports.

- During a lease: responsibilities of landlords and tenants, damage and repairs, and breaches of duty.

- Ending a tenancy.

- Tenancies and family violence.

Please note that this session is legal information only, not legal advice. For advice on existing issues, please call the Tenancy Union on 03 9416 2577 or visit the Fitzroy Legal Night Service. More information is on our website: www.fitzroy-legal.org.au/

If you would like to attend this event but require the assistance of an interpreter, then we may be able to help. Please email Sam.Boivin@yarracity.vic.gov.au with your request
