Description

Do you work with Aboriginal People?

Interested to increase your understanding of grief and loss?

The Know Injury team is proud to offer a unique workshop opportunity for you to sample “The Map of Loss” training on 2 March at Kuditj, Northbridge.

Developed in 1999 by Roslyn Snyder, “The Map” workshop is a powerful tool for understanding grief and loss, whether you use it for yourself or to help others. The workshop meets best practice guidelines for Aboriginal and Mental Health.

This workshop taster will give you an understanding of “The Map” two day experience. It will take you through an emotional landscape with activities that are based on Aboriginal ways of language, art, music, story and movement.

The workshop includes:

  • A comprehensive non-threatening framework

  • A common language

  • Experience of how simple practical activities can connect, integrate and expand the mind

  • Simple processes for self-care
