Join me for three fun knit-along sessions and learn the intricacies of making your own socks as you knit along on your own pair.
About this event
Over three weekly sessions you will spend seven and a half hours in the studio learning the basics of sock knitting.
This workshop is suitable for those who are confident knitting both knit and purl stitches. This is NOT a learn to knit class.
We'll explore some of the many techniques involved in sock knitting including:
• needle choice; double pointed vs. circular
• yarns
• casting on
• heel turning options
• foot shaping & finishing
• personalising your socks
You can bring along your own tools and materials (I'll email you details once you have booked), or you can work up a sample sock on needles & yarns which we have in our yarn bag.
