Kite flying is fun! Learn about how kites fly. Build and decorate your own kite inside the theatre then take it out and fly it in the park.

Important participant requirements:

- This event is for people aged 6+ years . Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

- ALL attendees at the event require a ticket.

- Wear sun smart clothing, hat and sunscreen and water bottle as we will fly the kites in the park once decorated.

- The event is free

This event is for Lake Macquarie City residents, others may be wait listed.

- In an effort to keep activities COVID-19 Safe, we have decreased the maximum number of people able to attend each activity. Please be considerate and book no more than 2 activities per person across the two week Explore Our Great Outdoors program to give other people in our community the opportunity to enjoy this program too.

- For the safety and well-being of all participants, safe-distancing and social gathering measures will be practiced and contact details for traceability will be kept. All attendees should follow the most recent COVID-19 safe advice from the NSW Government including not attending if you feel unwell, safe physical distancing by keeping 1.5m apart and maintaining personal hygiene by regularly washing your hands.
