Event description
Two days, 6 classes, one party. Intimate Horizons is in San Francisco

About this Event

Let's play and learn together in these 2 days with Intimate Horizons.

6 workshops, one party where to practice, meet people and share your new skills.

We'll dive deep into sensuality, fear, pain, pleasure and...connection.

August 17

Love taps: Conscious Impact Play (11AM to 1PM)

Spankings, floggings, beatings and croppings. This two hour session will introduce you to the basic concepts of impact play, how to inflict the most pleasure as well as pain but also how to use each item in the right way. Also you'll learn why we love this practice from understanding the physics and basic biology involved, to safety, technique, and after care.

Dancing with ropes (2PM to 4PM)

Kinbaku is not only knots and techniques but it is connection, sensuality, beauty. Ropes can be used to communicate and create fear, pleasure, suspense and much more. We will learn how to connect with our partner in a non-verbal communication, and will play with distance, speed, sight, touch.

Bodies as canvas, ropes as colours and connection as inspirations.

Sensuous play (4.30PM to 6.30PM)

Fire and Ice, pinch and tickle! We’ll provide further tools to bring new feelings to the forefront. Short-circuit your nerves, make tingles your toys, learn about candle wax and other sensory tools. This class will give many ideas to expand the range of touch you can provide a partner. Be prepared to practice!

August 18

How to create your kinky scene (11AM to 1PM)

You maybe just stepped into this new kinky world and don't know where to start? or you already did some classes or tried few toys with some online youtube video or articles? You’ve got your ropes, a pair of hand cuffs, maybe even a flogger and … now what?

Let's see together all we need to know to create that beautiful and safe space to play with others.

Sensory Deprivation (2PM to 4PM)

Deprivation. Removal. Refocus. In this workshop, we will provide tools and skills to deprive your partner of their sight, hearing, voice, touch.

You will find new and exciting mental states as your senses and agency are restricted, one piece at a time, until you find an inner stillness.

Reach for a core of trust and vulnerability, excitement and exhilaration. Dive inward and find a new facet of experience.

Mummification (5PM to 7PM)

Last step. Now let's challenge ourselves a bit. In this intense workshop, we will expand on the lessons learned in our Sensory Deprivation workshop.

Join us on a journey into the deep dark, blind immobilization. Mummification presents a unique opportunity: to be utterly helpless.

In this class, we will examine the psychology of helplessness, techniques to provide and receive the experience safely, and ways to communicate with your partners while in states of deep bondage.

Mummification is a powerful technique with many uses. Use this class to confront your deep self, or to bring about a deeper state of surrender that you can perhaps experience in any other way.

A: My name is Elisa, and I'm doing this as my way of spreading safely these practices in the world.

Hailing from Rome, Elisa became interested in alternative sexuality early in life. Elisa has been a linchpin of the growing polyamory community in Rome before moving to Sydney in 2015. An experienced kinkster, Elisa has worked as a pro-domme in both her old home and new. Since moving to Sydney, she has opened new avenues into tantra and body awareness practices, and is excited to share her story and experiences with you!
