About this event

Join Parks Victoria Ranger Tony Fitzgerald for a free Forest Therapy walk through the serene Kinglake National Park. This Forest Therapy walk will follow Forest Therapy training guidelines.

A minor portion of the walk will be required to be filmed for Tony’s training requirements. Participants can opt out of any images, please let Tony know if this is the case or email healthycommunities@parks.vic.gov.au.

Tony will meet you at Island Creek Picnic Area. Please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can set off at 9:30.

Directions: From the center of Kinglake, drive 8.4 km along the Kinglake-Glenburn Rd. The car park for the Island Creek Picnic Area is on the left-hand side of the road.

The walk takes approximately 2.5 hours along an unpaved bush trail. Kinglake National Park is usually 3 – 4 degrees cooler than Melbourne, so please check the weather in advance and dress appropriately, including wearing comfortable enclosed walking shoes.
