King Street Book Club with author Kristina Olsson
Event Information
Description
Come along to the King Street Book Club and join us for an evening with jourmalist and author, Kristina Olsson, discussing her latest novel Shell, a beautiful novel that dances with light and connection while capturing a fascinating time in our history.
Kristina Olsson will be in-conversation with Avid Reader’s Jennifer Stephens and our book club discussion will be a very special opportunity to gain insights into Kristina’s writing process and discover her perspectives on her novel.
‘Shell is a masterful novel, as ethereal and shimmering and magical as the book’s beating heart, the Sydney Opera House … It’s fair to say that Shell shares its majesty.’ Matthew Condon, award-winning author of The Trout Opera and Three Crooked Kings
‘A luminous look at a city at a time of change, a time when the building of the Sydney Opera House was a reach for greatness.’ The New York Times
Your copy of the book, the evening's conversation, and a glass of wine are all included in your book club ticket.
Thanks to Rydges, our meeting will be held in the Rydges VIP library room and nibbles will be served.
Current Book Club members will collect their book at our October meeting and we'll contact new members to arrange collection from King Street, Bowen Hills.
