Learn the art of kimchi making with our in-house fermentation experts.

About this event

If you can't get enough of eating kimchi, this is the class for you. Our in-house fermentation experts will take you through the steps of kimchi creation from start to finish. The workshop begins with harvesting fresh vegetables from the Urban Farm before chopping and prepping your ingredients. You’ll learn how to salt and wash the kimchi, create a paste, mix and set to ferment. Your instructor will teach you how to test and taste when the kimchi is ready.

During the class enjoy a lunch featuring the humble ferment with a glass of wine or beer, and later take home your kimchi batch to continue fermenting, a ready to eat jar, and recipe guides.

This small group workshop will be held at the Aranda Urban Farm with only a limited number of tickets available. There will be a minimum number of participants required for the workshop to proceed.
