About this Event
Do you wish you'd started dancing when you were a kid? Looking for something other than Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop as a dancing option for your child?
We're excited to grow our kid's and youth Latin dancing community in 2021 with the first course kicking off from Sat 6 Feb, but before we kick the new Term off we'd like to invite you to come and try kids & youth Latin dancing as our guest with these complimentary Come & Try workshops so you can get a taste of what to expect.
If you're looking for a place where your child can make new friends, and create amazing memories he or she will never forget...you're in the right place.
Our studio is like a family. We are a diverse and vibrant community united by our passion for Latin dance, culture and community. We strive to make it feel like a second home...where young dancers feel included, supported and happily encouraged to be themselves.

About Latin Dancing for Kids and Youth at Rio Rhythmics:
Age groups:
Kids 7 - 10 years
Youth 11 - 16 years
Watch as your child’s confidence in themselves and their body grows as they feel the rhythm, express themselves through movement, and take a spin with friends in a warm, supportive, and vibrant atmosphere. Taught through movement repetition your child will be dancing from the very first lesson.
The focus is not on steps, but on the movement, music, and connection to themselves and others. Your child will learn Salsa, Samba, Merengue, and Bachata as well as percussion basics and the roots of South American dance with some Brazilian Portuguese thrown in too!
We’re all about improving lives through Latin dance, culture, and community and we’re so looking forward to showing the next generation how they can dance their way to more fun, many friends, improved wellbeing and a life-long skill.
Meet some of our team and let your child try out what they will learn in their full course at our main Studio at 163 Boundary St, West End.
If you have questions about the workshops or upcoming courses please reach out any time via email to dancing@riorhythmics.com.au or via phone on 3844 1824 from 3:30pm Mon - Thurs and 5pm Fri.

FAQs
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The best thing to do on a Saturday in West End is to park in some of the surrounding Streets such as Jane St, Thomas St, O'Connell St, Browning St or Sussex St. Or the West End Coles is a 5-7min walk from our Studio with paid parking. If you're catching public transport then we're just across from the 199 Bus stop on Boundary St, right in the center of the popular cafe, bar and restaurant precinct.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Reach out any time via email to dancing@riorhythmics.com.au, phone on 3844 1824 or Facebook messenger - @riorhythmicslatindance.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable clothing they can move easily in with enclosed shoes that lace up or velcro (ie. not slip on shoes) preferably with either a leather or hard rubber sole (soft rubber is too grippy & can cause friction for ankles and knee's). You don't need a special dance outfit or shoes to get started with.
Can we bring a friend?
Absolutely! Please just ensure the friend is also registered or you add the extra attendee to your booking so we know how many people to expect.
What's the refund policy?
This is a Free event, so no refund required. If you change your mind and no longer wish to attend please let us know so that we can open up your spot to someone else.
