Event description

Description

Monday 13 January 2019 – Friday 17 January 2020

9.00am to 3.00pm Daily

What’s cooking these school holidays? Enrolments are now open for Kids Pantry in January.

This summer, Fifth Term is partnering with Kids Pantry to provide a Food Science experience for school aged children (Kinder to Year 8) who would like to learn more about the art of cooking healthy food. Kids Pantry is a cooking school designed just for kids. Getting your child into the kitchen with their peers not only helps them with trying new foods, it also gives them skills for life.

Each day has a delicious menu and different recipes. There are five days of food and kitchen fun to choose from and you can enrol your child in one or all of the days. It’s as easy as dropping them off and picking them up. Children will make and eat their own food…there may even be something to take home and share with the family!

  • Monday: Bircher Muesli, Chicken & Mango Salad, Cinnamon Scrolls

  • Tuesday: Ham & Cheese Croissants, Nachos, Raspberry & Banana Bread

  • Wednesday: Mediterranean Frittata, Spinach & Ricotta Rolls, Coconut Ice

  • Thursday: Chocolate Croissants, Mac & Cheese, Raspberry Melting Moments

  • Friday: Fruit Nachos with Vanilla Bean Yoghurt, Create your own Pizza, Rocky Road

When: Monday 13 January 2019 – Friday 17 January 2020

Hours: 9.00am to 3.00pm

Where: Burgmann Anglican School, Forde Campus

Cost: $125 per child per day, can book single or multiple days.

**Please note: All Day programs run from 9.00am – 3.00pm. Classes are available for all school aged children. Children will be divided into age appropriate groups. Our School holiday classes are a Parent FREE Zone.

Can I stay with my child during the program?

Generally, no as it is best for students to get on with the lessons with the rest of the class. In special cases an arrangement can be reached requiring any adult present to submit a verified and current ACT WWVP check. This decision has been made with reference to child protection best practice as indicated in the guidelines of the Office of the Children's Guardian.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available in multiple locations on the Forde Campus.

For bus service information, visit:

  • ACTION Buses - www.action.act.gov.au

  • QCity Transit - http://www.qcitytransit.com.au/ (Formerly Deane's Buslines)

  • TRANSBORDER Buses www.transborder.com.au

Participants and their families are expected to enter via the main entrances along Francis Forde Boulevard. If participants are required to cross main roads for any reason, the pedestrian crossings must be used.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in reinforcing these expectations to ensure the safety of all children.
