About this Event
Get hands-on this school holidays and observe the difference between living and non-living specimens. Learn how to use the latest digital microscopes to capture images of your discoveries and see what new perspectives you can get in our local environment.
We will venture outside for part of the workshop to explore the environmental surrounds in Queens Park using digital microscopes.
Tickets are required for ALL PLACES.
Ages 5-12
PLEASE NOTE: CHILDREN MUST BE ACTIVELY SUPERVISED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

We have adapted this activity to ensure compliance with Queensland Chief Health Officer Public Health Directions.
- Due to restricted numbers of participants we are limiting adults to one adult per child. (For example if two children are attending, a maximum of two adults can also attend). At least one adult must be present to supervise children during the activity.
- Please do not attend if unwell with cold or flu symptoms, if you have been in a COVID-19 hotspot, overseas or been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days. Please cancel your booking by calling Council on 3810 6666, or email enviroed@ipswich.qld.gov.au to free up your place to those who may be waiting.
- Council has developed a COVID safe plan for this activity that includes social distancing and cleaning/sterilisation processes. Hand sanitiser will be available. Please follow ICC Guide directions during this activity to ensure public safety.
- Mobile phone number and street address details will need to be provided upon booking. These details will be kept for 56 days for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes only.
