Event Details

Join us as we unlock your child's imagination by using a specially developed framework incorporating Plug and Play electronics hardware and Drag and Drop graphical visual programming.

These intermediate weekly after school workshops are designed for school age children from 6 years of age who have completed one of our introductory/beginner workshop series.

All equipment required for these workshops is provided but experimenter's kits can also be purchased either at the venue or via our online store.

Cost is $25 per session payable online or at the door. Please book your place for each session as spots are limited & sufficient resources for each participant are setup.

Please note that participants of these workshops get automatic access to our members area on our website

Note - If the venue, date or time doesn't suit - please don't hesitate to let us know as we are always more than happy to expand this program.

FAQs

What can I bring to the workshop?

You are more than welcome to bring along your own laptop as this allows us to install all of the required software you need as well as giving you priority class placement.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There is no need to print a ticket as we have all of your details as part of your registration.

You offer free tickets that state payment at the door is required - are they free?

No, unfortunately EventBrite doesn't offer an option to pay at the door & so we use the "free" ticket option. This option effectively reserves your space at the workshops allowing you to pay when you get to the venue.

Organiser

RoboClub.com.au

RoboClub.com.au brings science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM), to people of all ages in a fun and challenging way through programs that are integrated with the RoboClub Open Source Framework.

We are proud to be able to inspire students to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning through invention. Technology (via Engineering) is now one of the fastest growing industries in the world!

All of our instructors come from educational or engineering backgrounds. We also work with & prepare students for any science or robotics competitions where open source electronics is permitted. Surprisingly there are still a few competitions that only accept proprietary hardware or software!

The RoboClub Framework gives students the opportunity to explore and program current technology Open Source Microcontroller hardware. Students will get to learn about real life engineering challenges with an empahsis on performing autonomous missions. Students are taught basic programming using an intuitive "drag & drop" visual programming environment incorporated within the framework. The framework also allows advanced students to look "under the bonnet" if required.
