Description
Having a good nights sleep is important for maintaining good health and for working effectively. The sleeping brain is very active, restoring body and brain cells essential for detoxing, learning, memory, concentration, problem solving and creativity.
Although individuals vary in their need for, and their satisfaction with sleep, it is estimated that people need 8-9 hours per night. On average, most adults get 7.5 hours or less and one in five experience insomnia and suffer the consequences of sleep deprivation.
We will explore:
- Common causes of disrupted sleep
- Impacts of disrupted sleep
- A range of strategies to manage and improve disrupted sleep patterns including relaxation techniques
