Event description
Learn what you need to know to start keeping healthy, happy chickens in Canberra

About this Event

Keeping chickens in the backyard provides you with fresh eggs as well as a way to deal with food scraps and backyard pests.Chooks also make great pets with real and distinct personalities.

Join us for an introduction to backyard chook keeping with local chicken keeper and permaculture teacher, Martyn Noakes. Learn how to raise, feed, handle and shelter these incredibly useful birds in a backyard setting. You don’t need a farm to have a flock of happy chickens to supply you with fresh eggs everyday.
