About this Event
Keeping chickens in the backyard provides you with fresh eggs as well as a way to deal with food scraps and backyard pests.Chooks also make great pets with real and distinct personalities.
Join us for an introduction to backyard chook keeping with local chicken keeper and permaculture teacher, Martyn Noakes. Learn how to raise, feed, handle and shelter these incredibly useful birds in a backyard setting. You don’t need a farm to have a flock of happy chickens to supply you with fresh eggs everyday.

Refund Policy: Please kindly note that tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other workshops. You are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person.
Please note that in the event of community transmission of COVID-19 in the ACT region the Canberra Environment Centre reserves the right to either adapt or cancel the event and refund all ticketholders at our discretion.
