Event description

Have you ever wanted to learn how to survive in the wilderness? This adventure weekend takes you on an overnight hike in the stunning Alpine region in Victoria, on the Howqua River, whilst learning about wilderness and navigation essentials.

The secluded route will include diverse wildlife, forests and the beautiful Howqua River. Don’t worry this trip is still all about getting outdoors and having fun, camping under the stars with a small group of likeminded people.

The experienced guides on the trip have a lifetime of experience in adventure pursuits, and many years experience navigating in the wilderness of Australia and remote parts of the world – some of the guides even have Special Forces backgrounds (Commandos and Special Air Service Regiment).

The first 5 people to sign up will receive a free pair of any Oboz shoes from the Kathmandu range. https://www.kathmandu.com.au/footwear/brand/oboz-footwear.html

  • Subject to availability, shoes to be collected at the event

To keep the costs to a minimum on this trip, we are asking participants to bring (or borrow) camping gear and food for themselves. We are also providing discount vouchers for participants if they need to purchase gear before the event. We highly advise investing in outdoor gear or borrowing from friends or family, but there is an option to rent sleeping bags, daypacks, water bladders for an additional fee from the guides (please let us know).

As the area is 3.5 hours away from Melbourne, we highly advise arriving to camp on Friday night to get an extra evening outdoors.
