Kids Like Us is running  Kamp Konnect over the summer holidays. Kamp Konnect is a part of Kids Like Us wellbeing mission. Our aim is to provide a fun and engaging program for our kids over the summer holidays where they can socialise, take part in exciting activities, and enjoy themselves after what has been a very challenging 2020 for most families. 

Kamp Konnect Dates

Kids Like Us will be offering Kamp Konnect during three weeks in January 2021.The Kamp will run on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. By enrolling in Kamp Konnect, you are committing to the three days.

The dates for the weeks are as follows:

Week 1: 4th/6th/8th of January 2021 

Week 2: 11th/13th/15th of January 2021 

Week 3: 18th/20th/22nd  of January 2021 

Kamp Konnect Times

Each Kamp Konnect day starts at 10am and runs until 4pm with recess and lunch breaks.

For parents who need to drop children off early or pick up later, Kamp Konnect is offering optional Pre-Kamp care from 8:30am-10am and after kamp care from 4pm- 4:30pm at an additional cost.

Kamp Konnect Costs

Each Kamp Konnect week costs $210.

Pre-Kamp and after Kare cost $120

If you are late in collecting your child, you will be charged a Kamp late fee $21 per 15 minutes

NDIS or self-funding can be used for Kamp Konnect and Kamp Kare.

For families experiencing financial hardship bursary finacial assistance is available on completion of a bursary form found on the Kids Like Us website. If you would like further information regarding this please call 03 95858503

Kamp Kounsellor volunteers

If you are over 15 years old and would like to apply to be a Kamp Kounsellor please send your resume and a cover email to wilma.stone@kidslikeus.org.au indicating your availability for Week 1, Week 2, and/or Week 3. We particularly welcome applications from volunteers who can demonstrate lifesaving qualifications, first aid qualifications or experience of working with others and young children.

Eligibility criteria 

The wellbeing of all participants and staff is paramount. No student is to be accepted who is likely to be violent, in any manner, towards another person or themselves. Participants who are not willing to engage in the activities or whose behaviour causes or has the potential to cause harm for themselves or others will be asked not to attend, and the parents will be contacted to remove them from the Kamp immediately 

Please note: The Kamp  Konnect facilities are not set up for the use of hoists, lifts or other high level supports for movement and toileting. Participants must be at least 8 years old.

Kamp Konnect is subject to State Government COVID restrictions and will operate under a COVID safe plan.
