On May 13th 2018, I will be attempting to hike Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 5895m high, and the highest point in Africa. Having successfully hiked Machu Picchu, Peru back in 2014, this will be my second attempt at peaking. I will be hiking the Lemosho trek, which leaves from Moshi town and will take 8 days in total.

To motivate me as I climb to the top, I am sponsoring the local children's orphanage in Kilimanjaro.  The Kilimanjaro Orphanage Centre, founded in 2009, provides care and shelter for orphaned children in need. Currently there is 79 children with in their care. The money raised will go towards the construction of a new orphanage that can home up to 250 children.

As a registered non-governmental organization charter #3959,  the Kilimanjaro Orphanage Centre provides shelter, nutrition, safety, health care and a long term education to orphaned kids at risk.  Their vision is to provide an environment which nutures opportunity to overcome the tremendous obstacles they face in their early childhood.
