Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story
Event Information
Description
Global Ideas has partnered with the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival to bring you Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story (2014). Directed by Grant Baldwin, this documentary film offers an eye-opening look at the way we grow, cultivate and purchase our food and the devastating impact that food waste is having on the planet. Over the course of six months, filmmakers Jen and Grant quit grocery shopping and attempt to survive solely on discarded food. The film brings together food production experts, chefs, farmers and environmentalists to highlight the magnitude of an important, often overlooked issue. Equally entertaining, as it is educational, Just Eat It prompts us to rethink the way we currently approach food and waste.
