About this Event
Get a birds eye view in the summer holidays by joining our park rangers for a fun-filled morning of games, activities and crafting.
We'll take you on an adventure to unravel the secrets of the shy, feathered creatures that make their homes in the Royal Park Wetlands.
Tuesday 12 to Friday 22 January
Meet at 10am, Trin Warren Tam-Boore Bellbird Waterhole, Royal Park, Oak Street Parkville
Suitable for children aged 5 to 10 years old.
Please note that the Junior Rangers program books out quickly. If you are unable to attend on the day please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact parkrangers@melbourne.vic.gov.au so we can offer your ticket to someone on our waiting list.

Q: Will the program run in wet weather?
A: Yes, please wear closed shoes and bring a raincoat/umbrella.
Q: Can I book a large group in to attend the program?
A: There is a maximum bookable group size of 6. Our Junior Ranger program is not available to bookings by any commercial service.
Q: Can I take public transport to the site?
A: The nearest train stop is Royal Park station on the Upfield line The number 58 tram also stops here. From here it is a short walk to the wetlands. Tram number 57 and 59 will also take you near Royal Park, Flemington road; from here it is a short walk to Ross Straw Field and the wetlands.. Look for the City of Melbourne feather banners and signs.
Q: Is there on-site parking?
A: Parking is available at Ross Straw Pavilion or the Wetlands car park off Oak St.
Q: What other facilities are on site?
A: You will have access to public toilets at the site.
Q: Can I leave my child unattended?
A: No, the school holiday program requires parents to be in attendance at all times.
Q: Can my child come to every day of the program?
A: Sessions are repeated each day. It is not recommended that children repeat sessions as they may lose interest.
