This is a free community club-based program for kids who are interested in golf. The clinic caters for all skill levels so give it a try!
About this event
Golf coaching for juniors 5-18yo.
Separate sessions for beginners and experienced players.
- 2pm session - experienced and +10 year olds
(optional on-course play to follow formal lesson)
- 3pm session - beginners and under 10s
Please ensure you book the correct session for your child
If you find that you cannot attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity to participate.
Due to COVID restrictions, kids are to remain seated and inside the clubhouse for the sausage sizzle and a drink afterwards. COVID marshals will be present to monitor adherence to rules including distancing and hand hygiene. Please provide your own clubs if possible.
Non-members welcome.
FAQs
What qualifications do the instructors have?
All our instructors are accredited Community Golf Instructors. This includes having compulsory Working with Children Checks.
Can younger kids also attend?
Kids under 5 may also attend the second session, however they will only be included in the formal coaching if numbers permit. In most cases they will be kept busy with fun putting and similar games.
What if it's raining?
If the forecast is for severe weather, the event will be cancelled and attendees will be notified by phone (supplied at registration). If it rains during the session then the group may relocate to the clubroom for golf theory and demonstrations.
What if it's hot?
If the forecast temperature by the Bureau of Meteorology at 5pm on Saturday is 32 or higher then the clinic will be cancelled automatically (text notifications will not be sent).
What should I bring to the event?
Please ensure children are sun safe (hat and sunscreen). They will be given a drink after the session however it is advisable to bring a drink bottle with water. Please bring appropriate junior golf clubs if you have them. There are some clubs available for loan from the club.
What should I wear?
Comfortable sportswear (golf pants or trackpants/shorts, golf-shirt or t-shirt) according to the temperature. Shoes can be either sneakers or golf shoes. Hat/Cap.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. Please register as it helps with catering and supervision purposes. Also those who register will be given priority to participate if there are more than the maximum number of registrations that show up.
How much is it to become a member?
