Description

The world's first carbon neutral city: the City of Adelaide is on a mission

Come along to our upcoming free event discussing the topic of 'Carbon Neutral Adelaide’ with Jon Gorvett from (DEWNR) and learn and find out how you could get involved.

The City of Adelaide is currently on a mission to make Adelaide the first carbon neutral city in the world. ‘Carbon Neutral Adelaide’ is the community’s shared ambition to work together to achieve this goal. The ‘Carbon Neutral Adelaide Partnership Program’ was launched only a week ago to encourage both businesses and individuals to commit to engaging in reducing our carbon emissions.

Our speaker, Jon Gorvett, Director of Climate Change at the State Government Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) will explain how your business, or as you as an individual can contribute to making Adelaide the world’s first carbon neutral city.

Adelaide Sustainability Connect aims to connect sustainability-minded people and groups, and we invite you to come along to this free event to listen to Jon Gorvett, ask him questions and engage in some interesting conversations.

Looking forward seeing you there!

The Adelaide Sustainability Connect Team

FYI: The evening will kick off at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, with opportunities to meet and socialise prior to the speaker presentation and question time afterwards. You will find us in the back room of the King's Head Hotel. We also welcome attendees to stay on for dinner and drinks (happy hour finishes at 6pm).
