About this Event
Jesse Taylor, Austin Mackay and Oskar Campbell are the freshest of a scene that's been bubbling away in the surf regions of the Eastern Coast. All with their own take on roots, soul, and indie folk, the three have been steadily gathering fans and creating swells in the underground scene. Between them they have racked up supports for some of the biggest names in Aussie music like Xavier Rudd, Paul Kelly & Diesel, and solidified their following with countless shows with folk icons Kim Churchill, and The Dreggs.
2020 has been a big year for all three,
Oskar Campbell releasing his debut E.P. ''Turn Out The Lights'. A showcase of the young man's ability to combine elements of soul, pop and soft rock to create a sentimental, hearfelt, and often warm and romantic atmosphere. His Single 'My Fantasy' hit Triple J unearthed in August, rewarded with rave reviews from Declan Byrne and Dave Ruby Howe, and culminated in 2 headline Sell Out shows for it's release.
Austin Mackay also dropped a debut e.p. and two singles in 2020, his biggest year yet. 'The Distance Between' was quickly snapped up by fans of the young Newcastle surfer, quickly gathering 10's of thousands of plays across different platforms. An ode to his fusion of indie, pop and rock and influence from artists such as Matt Corby and James Bay. The sounds of Austen has proved to be popular, and in music's hardest year to date, the 19 year old shared the stage with some of the J's biggest acts including Boo Seeka and Kim Churchill.
Jesse Taylor hit the scene in 2015 with his first EP, and over the last 5 years his sweetful and inspiring tunes about the shorelines and coastal travels has seen his music showcased in the Hollywood Film Industry and various TV shows. With another two successful releases in 2020, 'Where I Belong' & 'Dream Talker', Jesse shows no signs of slowing down. WIth another release in the works 'Where I Belong', the raw emotion and calming energy in Jesse's music has earnt the adventurer much revery overseas and here in his home on the eastern coast.
