The Melbourne ska community is coming together to support one of its own. Jeff Denny, Strange Tenants drummer, has been in ill health for some time and so his brothers and sisters are running a one off show to raise much needed funds for a stalwart of the ska scene.

Jeff 'Bongo' Denny has beenthe engine room behind the tough ska sounds of Strange Tenants for closeto four decades. Working with Chris Rogers on bass, the pair provided the signature rhythm section of a band that filled dancefloors up and down the country for many years. When Jeff hits the drums, they stayed hit!And with his own inimitable style, hissense of theatrics hasentertained punters for years and years.

For one special afternoon, The Strange Tenants invite friends and supporters for an afternoon that will not only raise much needed funds but celebrate Jeff's contribution to ska music in Australia and overseas.Opening the afternoon will be the velvety tones of Pat Powell, backedby the evergreenSka Vendors. The Tenants will then hit the stage for a short set and the afternoon will be headlined by The Hearn Brothers leading an Allstar band featuring members of Area 7, No Nonsense, LooneeTunes, The Ska Vendors, and The Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
