Description

TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT - MAXIMUM CAPACITY REACHED FOR EVENT!

On behalf of JDRF, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the JDRF Type 1 Diabetes Performance in Exercise and Knowledge (PEAK) Program.

The PEAK program is an educational program providing insights into the management of exercise for individuals with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

The one-day meeting will take place on 31 July 2017 at the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in Canberra. Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) can count Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours as Professional Education if they have attended this program and if this learning activity is in alignment with one of their set Learning Goals as part of the APD Program. The Dietitians Association of Australia do not endorse or approve external CPD events so this should not be implied by this statement.

The $110 AUD registration fee includes overnight accommodation at the AIS athlete campus the evening of 30 July, on-site meals and an off-site dinner with a tour of the facility on Sunday evening. If it is your preference to stay off-site this will be at your own expense.

About JDRF PEAK

The PEAK program is a curriculum that has been created to address the need for additional education for healthcare professionals on how to better support people with type 1 diabetes who want to participate in physical activity and will be held alongside the annual AMSL Diabetes Sports & Exercise Weekend for consumers.

The education curriculum will touch on the environmental, dietary, and physiological elements that impact physical activity in people living with type 1 diabetes.

Full Agenda

If you are interested and available to participate in the PEAK Program, we would greatly appreciate if you could please complete the online registration form by 28th June 2017.

For any queries regarding registration please contact Hanin Jones (AMSL Diabetes Representative) at hjones@amsl.com.au or 02 9496 1455.

We look forward to seeing you there!

JDRF PEAK is proudly supported by Presenting Sponsor NovoNordisk and Supporting Sponsor AMSL Diabetes.
