This program is delivered by 'Remote Attendance' via Zoom in Adelaide, Australia Australian Central Standard Time (ACST).

Designed for clinicians, public health professionals, academics, researchers and others to determine the most appropriate review methodology for their question, with a particular focus on scoping reviews.

This workshop enables participants to explore the theories and concepts relating to scoping reviews and other types of evidence synthesis, and equip participants with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully plan for and undertake a scoping review following the JBI approach.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM TRAINERS

Associate Professor Zachary Munn is the director of the Transfer Science program of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and a systematic review and guideline development methodologist. In his role as Director of Transfer Science, A/Prof Zachary Munn leads the development and coordination of the Institute’s educational courses, the development of systematic review and implementation software tools, and the promotion and publication of the collaboration’s methodologies. A/Prof Munn is the current Chair of the International JBI Scientific Committee and has been involved in the conduct of dozens of systematic reviews, clinical guidelines, evidence implementation and health services research projects. He is also the Director of the JBI Adelaide GRADE Center, the first GRADE Center in Australia, a G-I-N Board Trustee and the co-convenor of the JBI Scoping Review Methodology Group.Please CLICK HERE for further information about Associate Professor Zachary Munn.

Dr Danielle Pollock is a Research Fellow within the Transfer Science team at the Joanna Briggs Institute. She is actively involved in the JBI Scoping Review methodology group and G-I-N ANZ working group. She has extensive teaching experience in health and social science, including best practice approaches in evidence-based healthcare. She has significant experience in the development of online and internal courses for undergraduate studies.

Danielle’s previous research background is in psychology and midwifery, specialising in stillbirth and stigma. During her PhD, she developed the Stillbirth Stigma Scale, which measured the prevalence and type of stigma in bereaved parents. Her other research work includes exploring how government, non-government and health care professionals communicate with women about stillbirth.

Danielle is a co-founder of ASAP (Australian Stillbirth for Awareness and Prevention) which aims to co-design research, policy and practice with bereaved parents and their families, policymakers and service providers. Danielle is a proud advocate in women’s health and is a member on the Still Aware Consumer Advisory board and CRE Stillbirth Steering Committee.
