A new freshly roasted program is coming to The Dock!

Jazz Brew Cafe

Brewing up some groovy jazz tunes on the second Friday afternoon of each month.  Linger longer after work or lounge with friends at your favourite meeting point at The Dock in the cafe.

Freshly brewed:  Alison Riethmuller and Phil Noy

Alison has worked as a professional pianist and vocalist for the past twenty years, with her early career spent as resident pianist and vocalist in venues across Australian, Europe and Asia.  Since returing to Australia, she has worked as an accompanist, repetiteur and teacher and was appointed as lecturer in Music at the University of South Queensland in 2012, where she lecturers in Piano studies.  Alisons versatility across classical, music theatre and contemporary genres makers her much sought after for masterclasses, workshops and musical directing roles.  She was musical director for Brisbanes Broadway Unplugged in 2012 and Songs from an Un Made Bed at QPAC in 2014, and performance highlights include concerts at Jimbour House, Sydney's Slide Lounge and the Brisbane Jazz Club.  For a rare Melboure performance at The Library at The Dock ( library and community centre) Alison will present jazz favourites from her extensive repertoire, joined by acclaimed saxophinist Phil Noy ( from The Bamboos ).
